Memorial Healthcare wins prestigious ComputerWorld award - Pyramid Analytics
Memorial Healthcare System won the 2015 Data+ Editors’ Choice Award from Computerworld for their successful use of Pyramid Analytics' BI tools to analyze large, multi-source data sets, improve operating room cost efficiencies, enhance patient care, and unify information across departments, placing them among elite awardees like UPS and PayPal.
Congratulations to Memorial Healthcare System for winning the prestigious 2015 Data+ Editors’ Choice Awards from Computerworld. On behalf of the entire team at Pyramid Analytics, we salute MHS and their BI initiative team for this remarkable achievement.
The award recognizes key aspects of how Memorial successfully benefits from investing in Pyramid Analytics:
- Using data analytics to help the organization find operating room cost efficiencies and improve patient care
- Gaining the ability to analyze large volumes of data from multiple sources
- Delivering relevant and consistent information to bring together multiple departments – from finance to clinical personnel, from medical to technical staff
Stacy Collet, in her article announcing Computerworld’s 2015 Data+ Editors’ Choice Awards, wrote:
"(...) the finance department can compare prices of stents from different manufacturers with a few mouse clicks and quickly estimate whether switching vendors will save money. And clinical staffers can say, check to see which procedures are in demand, measure how long each surgeon takes to do a particular procedure, and check demographic data to see which segments of the local population have specific surgical needs."
At Pyramid Analytics, we take pride in helping our customers succeed, scaling the reach, impact, and adoption of their BI initiatives. It’s motivating to see Memorial Healthcare Systems recognized for its success in using BI to drive operational efficiency and superior patient care. To put their results in perspective, earning this recognition places Memorial in an exclusive club of ComputerWorld award-winners that included UPS, Zulily, PayPal, Merck, and DirecTV. It’s because of the success achieved by customers like Memorial, CareFirst, Blue Cross, and Saint Luke’s Medical Center that Pyramid Analytics also received recognition, being honored as a Recipient of the 2015 Microsoft U.S. Healthcare Partner Awards.
I have the pleasure of working with this award-winning team, including IT clinical systems supervisor Diane Dowdell; business intelligence developer Karin Fernandez; Martin Hadida, director, data architect; BI architect Alvaro Reis; BI developer Terry Garzon; and BI developer Juan Velez.
Congratulations to you all!
